Board of Directors

Serving on the El Dorado County Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors is a great way to get involved in your community! We strive for a diverse team of board members who are committed to Habitat’s mission and who have the leadership skills needed for sustainable growth.

The Board of Directors currently consists of twelve positions with terms varying from 1-3 years to ensure a staggered rotation of members. Meetings are currently held every other month on the third Wednesday at 6pm in Cameron Park. Additional meetings may arise due to fundraising events, construction builds and other board business.

Potential board members should demonstrate an interest in Habitat’s mission and goals, and have experience or knowledge in any of the following areas:

ability to read credit reports
accounting
blue-collar, hands-on perspective
business and planning acumen
business management expertise
church pastors and lay leaders
fundraising
land development experience
legal expertise
media relations
personnel management
public speaking
record-keeping skills
residential construction expertise
school/college representative
sense of humor
social services experience
technical writing
